One-off Yoga Workshops and Retreats...

Trust your Gut- with yoga and nutrition- Saturday 13th August 9.30-1pm at The Cow Shed Studio, Steyning

Did you know that the gut is known as the body’s second brain?

Would you like to improve your digestive system and overall mental and physical well-being? If so, this special event might be for you…

Join me for an in-depth yoga session on your abdomen and core, meditations on trusting your gut and spend some time with my friend Homeopath Rachel Lucas. Rachel uses nutrition alongside Homeopathic remedies to help her clients achieve optimal health. She will be with us to deliver an informative and engaging talk on digestion and the gut and she’ll also be taking your questions.

You’ll discover why the gut is known as the ‘second brain’ and how we can improve our own gut instincts, as well as our physical and mental health by paying attention to it.

From a yoga perspective talking about the gut means connecting to our instincts as well as our physical and inner strength. This all-important support system helps us with balance, it protects our spine and affects the way we hold ourself and move around the world with confidence.

This subject connects to the solar plexus and sacral chakras (i.e. our inner power, self-belief and enjoyment). We’ll be digging deep with poses to strengthen, stretch and soothe the abdomen and assist elimination. In our meditation we’ll hone our connection to our gut instincts. Having this tool can be the difference between following the crowd or having the self-belief to create your own path in life.

Rachel will be sharing her knowledge on fostering a good relationship with your digestive system. She will help you to understand this vital system, recognise symptoms that suggest it is not working optimally and suggest ways to improve this. She will also cover the gut microbiome which has been in the nutritional news in recent years and de-mystify 'good' and 'bad' gut bacteria. Rachel’s approach is practical, encouraging and inspiring. This morning promises to be a treat for the mind, body and soul.

It’s £45 for the morning which includes refreshments and samples of some tasty probiotic foods and drinks. Booking is now open and to book your place please email me at alison.stoker@gmail.com
